PBA legend Jimmy Alapag named assistant coach of NBA G League's Stockton Kings
PBA legend Jimmy Alapag has been appointed as assistant coach of the Stockton Kings, which is the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings.
Alapag is a Filipino-American who has played professionally in 14 basketball seasons in the Philippines. His notable career milestones, as stated on the team’s official website, include being a six-time Philippines Basketball Association (PBA) champion, two-time PBA Finals MVP, PBA MVP in 2011, and an 11-time PBA All-Star.
Known as "The Mighty Mouse" and "The Captain," he was also the head coach for Alab Pilipinas of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL), winning the ABL championship in 2018.

As the assistant coach of Stockton Kings, Alapag is set to work with Will Scott (associate head coach), Akachi Okugo (assistant coach), Sydney Haydel (director of basketball operations), and Kaiti Jones (performance coach and sports scientist).
