LOOK: Kylie Verzosa makes her Cannes Film Festival debut in a Mark Bumgarner piece
Kylie Verzosa looked regal as she attended the red carpet premiere ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival on May 16.
Dubai-based PR agency Yugen PR on Wednesday, May 17, shared multiple posts on Kylie, who made her grand debut at Cannes, a prestigious film festival that honors cinematic marvels from all over the world. The actress walked alongside famous celebrities, actors, and filmmakers like Johnny Depp, Maiwenn, Catherine Zeta Jones, Elle Fanning, Naomi Campbell, Alessandra Ambrosio, Michael Douglas, Brie Larson, and more.
To mark her first Cannes appearance, Kylie wore a black ball gown with goose feathers and encrusted crystals by Mark Bumgarner. Her stylist Katrina Cruz styled her look with a diamond jewelry set from Luna by Drake.
“I am still in awe to be here. It feels surreal. I am just so grateful to all the people who helped me to where I am today. I also want thank the whole team for letting me be one of the special guest for the prestigious red-carpet premiere of Jeanne du Barry. It is definitely one moment in my life that I will treasure forever.” said Kylie.
The former beauty queen also shared a few photos on her Instagram, saying attending the Cannes was a "dream come true."
Kylie was crowned Miss International in 2016. She signed with Viva Artists Agency the year after and made her acting debut in the same year for the film Ang Panday alongside Coco Martin.
In 2022, the Filipina model-actress was awarded Best Actress at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Award in Dubai, for her film The Housemaid which launched her to the international film scene.
