Chie Filomeno debunks stigma about getting plastic surgery: 'Wala namang masama'
Chie Filomeno called out a basher who criticized her for not "embracing" her natural Pinay beauty.
The Kapamilya actress defended herself about getting plastic surgery in response to the comment on her TikTok video.
“Women empowerment [ba] yan? Ine-encourage niyo mga kababaihan na magparetoke buong mukha kesa I-embrace [‘yung] natural na ganda ng Pinay lol,” the comment read.
Chie clapped back at her, clarifying that she never encouraged anyone to get one and stressed that there is nothing wrong about going under the knife to enhance beauty.
“Una sa lahat, wala po tayong ine-encourage at wala po akong sinasabi na ito ang tamang gawin, ito dapat ang gawin,” the Beach Bros star began.
“At tsaka, wala naman pong masama sa pagpaparetoke or sa pag-e-enhance sa kung anong meron ka. Kung ito ang tingin mo magpapasaya sa ‘yo, magbibigay confidence sa ‘yo, why not do it? Wala ka namang natatapakan na tao, wala kang nasasaktan,” she continued.

“Isa pa, pera mo ba ang ginagamit ko sa pagpapa-retoke ko? ‘Di ba hindi? Pero kung oo, sige, bayaran kita,” she said sarcastically.
The 26-year-old actress went on to call for people to be open-minded in terms of getting plastic surgery.
"Ang tanda tanda na po natin, alam na po natin kung ano ang tama sa mali. At ang ginagawa mo, ayan ‘yung mali," she said.
“Parang dinedegrade mo lahat ng taong nagparetoke, parang ang sama sama naming tao for like doing something that would make us happy ng wala kaming tinatapakag tao,” she continued
She cleared that she is not saying the plastic surgery should be the norm, but asks her followers to widen their understanding on plastic surgery.
Chie first revealed that she got plastic surgery way back in 2019 during the “Legit or Lie” segment of the Tonight With Boy Abunda.
“Tito Boy, there’s nothing wrong in enhancing something that you have. It’s a choice, it’s your own choice as long as wala kang natatapakang tao, go with it,” she said.
Since then, Chie has been flaunting her looks, while also calling out to her bashers whenever they bring up her plastic surgery issue.
