Confident, sexy, unapologetic, fun, jet-setting. These words describe the clients that Rosanna Ocampo designs for.

And the designer herself as well. Every time I meet Rosanna, I see a woman who is fearless, never afraid to create something different.

The newly opened Studio Rosanna Ocampo at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell is swathed in signature colors of green and gold and dancing with elements that reflect the designer’s penchant for all things fun.

Her new space, Studio Rosanna Ocampo at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati, is funky, retro-inspired, with giant phonebooths, a groovy ’70s vibe and charming animals in the dressing room.

RO’s new summer collection, called Nomad, is a harmony of color and raffia. This ubiquitous fiber is a tropical staple, usually confined to décor and accessories but has now found its way to couture fashion.

For her latest collection, she uses raffia. “Yes, raffia! I am so excited to present something extra-special and I’ve searched far and wide for this material that is durable, and needs neither dry cleaning nor ironing,” says Rosanna.

She calls it the Nomad Collection. “My clothes this summer season are perfect for the adventurous woman who is always traveling, oozing with a love for life.”

Rosanna Ocampo welcomes summer with a nod to jet setting off to new adventures. Her new collection encapsulates perennial vacation vibes.

From waking up to watch the sunrise, to taking mimosa-soaked brunches, to enjoying lazy afternoons, dancing and then chasing sunsets, her clothes are ready.

Alessio Spiga from Milan joins the RO team this year as global consultant to the brand.

“After seeing raffia make it to runway rounds abroad, I wanted to try this fabric, which is usually used for decor and accessories,” adds Rosanna.

Joining her now is Alessia Spiga, a Milan-based creative who has spent 20 years in the European fashion industry. “I believe Rosanna Ocampo is ready for the global market,” says Spiga. “We want to bring it to Europe and the US.”
