Miss Universe unveils its Mouawad 'Force for Good' crown
Following the announcement of its new ownership, the Miss Universe organization unveiled on Monday, Dec. 19 its new Mouawad crown, reportedly to be about $6 million (P332 million), to be used in the 2022 Miss Universe pageant.
The new crown, named 'Force for Good,' represents the “new emblem of beautifully confident.”
Fourth-generation co-guardian Fred Mouwad presented the new Miss Universe Mouawad crown—a crown that is filled with symbolism.
It consists of 45.14-carat royal blue sapphire that symbolizes "goodness and hope for a brighter future," with 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds designed in rippling waves that signify “reflects the need for any call of change repeated across time.”
The Force for Good crown also features an abstract design of serpents at the bottom part of the crown, with diamonds symbolizing the status quo. The Mouawad crown aims to be the reminder that “there is seldom change without resistance.”
JKN Global Group CEO and Miss Universe owner Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip hopes that the person who will be crowned will make a legacy and become someone that people will look up to.
“Our ambition is to instil a sense of passion for ‘transformational leadership’, with the firm belief that everyone can lead, be successful and achieve their life goals,” said Jakrajutatip.
The 71st Miss Universe is set to return on the big stage on January 14, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Harnaaz Sandhu, who brought the title back to India for the first time in twenty-one years, will be crowning her successor.
