Look: MUP 2020 candidates do swimsuit challenge on location
No bed weather gloom for the Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) 2020 contenders.
Setting social media ablaze, the MUP candidates recently released their own swimsuit photos as part of their virtual "challenges" in the competition.
The challenge, titled My Face, My Space, showed the ladies in swimwear shot in their "spaces" a.k.a. respective cities and provinces.
What came out of the self-produced shoots: Glamorous hair and makeup, slinky bikinis, and show-stopping locations in the background.
The online task followed the Ring Light Series, an on-subscription series in partnership with non-government organizations, that aired last October 11. (Confirmed beneficiaries were WWF Philippines, AHA! Learning Center, and the Philippine Fashion Coalition.)
Where to watch MUP 2020
The swimsuit challenge is part of MUP's promotional events en route the big night late this month.
The pageant has earlier confirmed Baguio Country Club in Baguio City as the location of the competition's tail end. It will hold both preliminaries and finals there on October 15 and 25 respectively.
"Miss Universe Philippines is excited to announce that we will be filming the Miss Universe Philippines Preliminaries and Grand Finals in Baguio Country Club, available for streaming worldwide!" the organization announced in a Facebook post.
The pageant will hold the preliminary interview on October 21, with the national costume, swimsuit, and evening gown affairs on the 23rd.
The coronation will be available on the Ring Light series. It will have a telecast on GMA 7 and a stream on KTX.ph.
The Miss Universe Philippines franchise used to be under the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. Late last year, after 50 years with the foundation, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization (led by Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee) took over the project.
