Uniqlo to launch The Louvre x Yu Nagaba collection featuring special artwork of masterpieces like Da Vinci’s ‘Mona Lisa’
It seems that more and more brands are getting creative in bringing travel to the market as most of us stay cooped up in our homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aside from food that has become a way to explore other places and cultures, fashion also continues to give us a feel of other picturesque spots with clothes. Case in point is UNIQLO, which is set to release The Louvre x Yu Nagaba collection showcasing special artwork of iconic masterpieces in the beloved Musée du Louvre in Paris.
Designed by Japan contemporary artist Yu Nagaba, the shirt designs feature timeless artwork like Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Vermeer’s Astronomer, highlighting what Nagaba has been known for: his soft line drawings that strike a right balance between uniqueness and simplicity.
Watch the video below for a quick look at the pieces scheduled for a Jan. 31 launch in different parts of the globe.
The upcoming line is just one of the collaborative products under UNIQLO’s four-year tie-up with The Louvre, aimed at “offering a wide-ranging program to better familiarize the public with the museum’s must-see masterpieces and bring the joy of art in daily life.”
