Weekend hangs: Refresh your wardrobe with this sustainable swap market in the South
Dying to update your wardrobe but don't know what to do with all the clothes? We've got just the weekend event for you.
In the Sip Swap Shop! community event this coming May 28 to 29, you can breathe new life into your clothes by swapping, upcycling, and giving them to new owners.
The pop-up will be participated by well-loved vintage and upcycling brands in the country such as Glorious Dias, TELAstory collective, RIOtaso clothing, Basically Borrowed, and more.
Glorious Dias and TELAStory will sell their selected vintage and upcycled clothing by the kilo, while RIOtaso will turn your old fabrics into adorable bucket hats for everyday use.
If you're concerned about whether or not the new clothes will fit you, worry not as the event will also offer repairs and alterations on the clothes you buy.
Now imagine exploring all of this, while you're taking a sip of joe from Arcana Coffee's artisanal menu provided in the event grounds.
Not only does the event provide the opportunity to freshen up your wardrobe, but it also promotes a circular economy aiming to put a stop to the massive waste produced by fast fashion brands and people's spending habits.
If you don't have clothes you want to swap right now, the event also accepts old books for donating and election tarpaulins to be made into totes.
Sip Swap Shop! Sustainable Fashion Sample Sale will run from May 28 to 29 at the Delcon Commercial Building Don Jesus Blvd, Cupang, Muntinlupa. Doors open from 10 AM until 8 PM.
