Matchy-matchy with your mini-me

Published Feb 04, 2021 4:00 pm

First come the “couple shirts,” evolving into “couple outfits,” the romantic/cheesy tradition of matching outfits with your significant other, especially during the upcoming day of hearts.

Uniqlo U has been making this easy with its signature neutral tones in stylish, perfected essentials. For its spring/summer 2021 collection, those whose families have since grown can match with their kids, too.

This collection is the 10th collaboration between the Japanese brand and Parisian artistic director Christophe Lemaire, who creates the designs in the Paris atelier. It represents an evolution.

Classic shirts and dresses are elegantly lustrous, some incorporating sheer fabrics for a more refined look.

On your own, you can go matchy-matchy with a denim-on-denim look, or go tonal by combining pieces in the same color family for more impact. It looks put together, but feels relaxed as we enjoy the low temperature and bright sunshine of this time of the year.
