Cardi B files trademark for "Bardi Beauty"—here's what we know so far

Guess who just made money moves and filed for a trademark for a brand called "Bardi Beauty"? It's Cardi B, no less!

TMZ first reported that the Bodak Yellow singer's company, Washpoppin Inc., filed legal documents to the rights to the said phrase. "She apparently wants to slap onto a ton of different merch that screams of the fabulous life," said TMZ.

Nothing's official yet but in the trademark documents, which was signed by Cardi herself under her real name Belcalis Almanzar, Cardi is looking into an assortment of beauty products like cosmetics, fragrances, hair care, skincare, and nail products.

Last month, Cardi made an announcement on her Instagtam about an upcoming hair care line that she's working on. inspired by her own hair care journey. Wanting to educate people about nationality, race, and ethinicity, Cardi explained that belonging to a certain ethnicity like as Hispanic or Latino, does not always mean you have the same features.

She captioned her old photos, "This year I will be coming out with a hairline that I been working on at home for my hair and my daughters," the rapper wrote.

"However, I think is time for people to educate themselves on nationality, race and ethnicity. Being Hispanic/Latina don’t make your hair long , don’t make your skin light or don’t make your face features slim specially Latin countries from the Caribbean islands. Dna have something to do with your hair not your nationality but guess what you can always maintain your hair .....and one more things not everyone that speaks Spanish is Mexican."

In 2019, Cardi also told Entertainment Tonight that beauty is "something that I want to do" and that she plans to release a beauty line "very" soon.
