Wait, what? Megan Fox’s engagement ring has thorns, so it will be painful to take off
Did you give Megan Fox’s engagement ring some major heart eyes when you first saw it?
Many netizens were quick to do so when she announced her engagement with rapper Colson Baker (a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly) on Instagram. The love of her life designed it alongside British jewelry designer Stephen Webster, featuring their birthstones—emerald and diamond—which represent “two halves of the same soul, forming the obscure heart that is our love.”
Instead of the usual proposal rings that come in one piece, it’s actually two rings in just one presentation. “The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet,” Baker explained in a Vogue interview. “So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart.”
We thought that was it, but it does break away from the traditional look of engagement rings in more ways than one. It has another unique feature we may have missed the first time: the band has thorns. “So if she tries to take it off, it hurts,” said Baker.
“Love is pain!” he added.
Baker popped the question on Jan. 11 under a banyan tree at the Ritz-Carlton Dorado Beach hotel in Puerto Rico, where the hot pair met. “Just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes,” Fox captioned an IG post.
The two, who confirmed their relationship in June 2020, even celebrated it in true Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly fashion: by drinking each other’s blood.
