Attention, fashion designers: Miss Universe PH opens applications for 'Filipino Festival Fashion Fest'
Calling all aspiring fashion designers! The Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced on Tuesday, Aug. 15, that is is calling all aspiring fashion designers to join The Filipino Festival Fashion Fest.
"Get the opportunity of a lifetime to be one of the three Fashion Designers featured on the runway of The Filipino Festival Fashion Fest," the caption read.
To join, designers must submit a brief introduction of themselves, high-resolution copies of sketches of their casual, formal, and summer wear to be uploaded in the Google Drive link provided in the post, as well as a description of each of their designs.
Deadline for submission of entries is on Sept. 15.
The three winning designers will get the chance to design pieces for Miss Universe Philippines, The Miss Philippines, and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide Pageants.
The Filipino Festival (TFF) was introduced by Empire Philippines last week as a celebration of everything Filipino, from arts and crafts, music, fashion, film, to pageants. It is scheduled to take place in October.
Aside from Filipino Fashion Festival, the festival's activities also include the Filipino Food Festival, which aims to promote lesser-known national dishes; the Filipino Arts and Crafts Festival, which will showcase local crafts, the Filipino Music Festival, which will showcase local music, as well as the Filipino Film Festival, which aims to launch the careers of film students.
The Filipino Festival will also feature The Miss Philippines pageant, whose first titleholder is Pauline Amelinckx.
