It’s the final stretch of the competition as the 70th Miss Universe pageant is set to hold its finals on Monday, Dec. 13 (Philippine time). And with the preliminary competition just concluding this weekend, it is only expected that pageant pundits have also adjusted their favorites and picks to win the much-coveted pageant crown.

The same can be said for pageant website Missosology. It just released its much-awaited final hot pick. And emerging on top of its list is India’s Harnaaz Sandhu. “During the preliminaries, Harnaaz was stately but daring, beautiful yet sexy, and had excellent timing and great overall presentation,” Missosology wrote.

Sandhu also captivated local pageant fans as “Miss India” trended on Twitter Philippines during the prelims—proof of her stellar performance during the pre-finals event. She’s also among the top pick in PhilSTAR L!fe’s top 10 favorites to win the crown this Monday.

Meanwhile, Philippine bet Beatrice Luigi Gomez also made a splash during the preliminary competition—and Missosology took notice. She landed fifth in the website’s hot picks. In the website’s previous two hot picks, she placed in the bottom half of the top 10.

“Despite the pressure that comes with wearing the Philippine sash, Beatrice seems to be totally unaffected and has shown grace and poise throughout the competition. Pageant fans could sometimes be very nitpicky, but to our pool of experts, Beatrice’s overall performance during the preliminary competition was outstanding,” the website wrote. - (Chuck Smith)
