8 times BLACKPINK brought their A-game to fashion events
It’s common knowledge among K-pop fans that BLACKPINK members are fashion icons—as individuals and as a group.
Whether they perform onstage, release a banger, or show up at highly-coveted fashion events, the girl group always brings their A-game when it comes to style. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have their styles and luxury fashion houses that are tailor-fit for each of them.
Currently, the four ladies are active as global ambassadors for well-known luxury fashion brands: Jisoo for Dior, Jennie for Chanel, Rosé for Saint Laurent, and Lisa for Celine.
As BLACKPINK is set to attend Paris Fashion Week on Sept. 28, let’s take a look at some of their best individual looks to date.
Rosé at Saint Laurent SS20
Rosé’s style is the epitome of edgy. An all-black garb at Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2020 show is the perfect example. The outfit is composed of a sequin-choked take on the classic oversized blazer, black mini skirt, and matching black pumps. We’re also obsessed with her tiny black bag with a silver fringe.
Jennie at Chanel SS19
There’s something about Jennie’s style that screams luxury, such as this simple chain-trim shift dress, logo belt, and black pumps at Chanel’s autumn/winter 2019 show. She completed the look with black and silver earrings. We also love her low ponytail since it emphasizes the dress’ chain trim.
Jisoo at Dior’s Pop-up Store launch 2019
Jisoo has always been the group’s most elegant member when it comes to their styles. Her green-striped dress and chunky black belt at Dior’s pop-up store launch are some of her most memorable looks to date. The dress’ thigh-high slit adds a hint of sensuality to a sophisticated look.
Lisa at Bvlgari’s event in Seoul
Lisa has always gravitated towards preppy looks, but her appearance at an event in Seoul showed that she can rock glamorous looks as well. The deconstructed pinstripe blazer and patent stiletto heels were a sight to behold—and it showed off her slim figure perfectly.
Jisoo at Burberry SS19
Jisoo brought out her inner Blair Waldorf in this matching checkered suit at Burberry’s spring/summer 2020 show. The outfit is paired with jeweled brown heels that seem out of place, yet it works. We can’t help but wonder how her blown-out straight hair manages to match many of her looks perfectly.
Rosé at BLACKPINK’s In Your Area Japan Dome tour
A complete contrast from her edgy looks, Rosé’s colorful floral garb at BLACKPINK’s Japan Dome tour was to die for. The combination of the flowy off-shoulder top and ruffled skirt made her look like a princess. An eye-catching turquoise belt completed the look, which added more shape.
Lisa’s preppy and edgy offstage look
Lisa’s offstage look is a mixture of preppy, edgy, and chic as she wore an oversized black blazer, checkered crop top, and skinny black jeans. At a glance, the look seems simple but her attention to detail such as mixing different types of fabric made her everyday outfit look special.
Jennie at Chanel SS19
Tweed can be an unforgiving fabric since it can make you look frumpy if not done right. Jennie’s classic pale blue tweed suit is one of the best ways to pull this type of fabric off since it made her look expensive. The eye-catching suit was completed with a matching logo handbag, jeweled slingback heels, and simple accessories.
