LOOK: Gwen Stefani’s exquisitely detailed wedding dresses made by Vera Wang
American fashion designer Vera Wang made two custom wedding dresses for Gwen Stefani’s July 3 wedding.
Known for her very detailed haute-couture wedding dresses, Wang designed them to represent Stefani’s fashion style, mixing elegance and edge to bring out the singer’s iconic look.
The first wedding dress that Stefani wore when she walked down the aisle is a custom lily white silk georgette fabric with a strapless low-plunging sweetheart neckline. It features a a cut-away back and a hand tumbled tulle skirt.
The unique part of her first wedding dress is it has embroidered names of Gwen’s family including hers and husband Blake Shelton, Kingston James McGregor, Zuma Nesta Rock, and Apollo Bowie Flynn.
Stefani paired the wedding dress with white fishnet stockings and stiletto cowboy boots.
For the second dress that she wore during the reception, the singer said in an Instagram post that “you need a party dress when you get to marry Blake Shelton.”
To fulfill her wishes, Wang used Italian silk crepe and hand tumble tulle strapless mini dress, silk, tons of sequins and crystal. To spice things up, the embroidery highlighted two love birds, representing Gwen and Blake, and three baby love birds, representing Gwen’s children.
Stefani and Blake Shelton first met as judges on The Voice. The couple got engaged in October 2020, and tied the knot on July 3 in Oklahoma.
