GALLERY: Binibining Pilipinas candidates flaunt culture and heritage through their national costumes
The national costumes of this year's Binibining Pilipinas "diamond" batch have been unveiled.
On their social media pages, the pageant organizers posted the 40 candidates' national costumes ahead of the national costume show slated for Tuesday, June 11, at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
This year, candidates flaunted the country's culture and heritage, taking inspiration from their hometowns' mythological creatures, local cuisines, stunning attractions, and local products, among others.

Meanwhile, the Binibining Pilipinas organization announced the new crowns and cash prizes that this year's pageant winners will receive during a press presentation held at the New Frontier Theater on Friday, June 7.
Crafted by jeweler Manny Halasan, the two crowns will be bestowed by current titleholders, Bb. Pilipinas International Angelica Lopez and Bb. Pilipinas Globe Anna Lakrini to their respective successors.
According to the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI), each crown features "ethical diamonds, reflecting not only their brilliance but also [the organization's] commitment to responsible sourcing."
"The design beautifully incorporates three stars and a radiant sun, symbolizing the essence of the Philippines and our nation's proud heritage," BPCI stated.
Aside from the highly coveted crowns and titles, those will be named the new Bb. Pilipinas International and Bb. Pilipinas Globe titleholders will each receive P1 million. The runners-up, meanwhile, will be given P400,000 each.
The Bb. Pilipinas 2024 grand coronation night will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 7. It will be hosted by beauty queens Catriona Gray, Nicole Cordovez, MJ Lastimosa, and Kylie Verzosa.
Audiences will be entertained by performances from P-pop group SB19, Gary Valenciano, and Martin Nievera, among others.
