Microblading salons in Metro Manila to always keep your brows on fleek

Published Apr 14, 2022 10:57 am Updated Apr 16, 2022 3:26 pm

Let's face it, kilay really is life. That's why you can't help but panic each time you have to perfect your brows in between tasks and meetings, or worse, when you forget your pencil or gel at home, with no way to fix those thin or unruly strands.

Don't get us wrong, it's perfectly fine to show off your brows au naturel. But if you want to enhance it without the struggle, it's high time to give microblading a go.

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that, unbeknownst to many, involves little to no pain. And because it is semi-permanent, it can only last for one to three years on your skin — which means you don't have to bear it forever in case you'd change your mind.

Getting it done in a salon usually takes two to three hours, as it involves the following steps:

  1. Mapping the shape of the brow based on your preferred size and thickness, as well as your current brow shape.
  2. Application of topical anesthesia or numbing cream so that you wouldn't feel pain throughout the process.
  3. Drawing individual hair strands that mimick the natural growth of existing hair until the entire brow is filled in.

It's a meticulous process that requires the artistry of experts, which is why it doesn't come cheap.

To help you save time and more importantly, unwanted spending on your first (or next) microblading sesh, PhilSTAR L!fe teamed up with Best of the Best (BOTB) Manila to give you a list of micrblading studios in Metro Manila that customers are most satisfied with.

Talk about brow enhancement and for some BOTB members, PINO would be top of mind. Customers of this premium studio are raving about its high-quality microblading service that results in natural-looking eyebrows.

In an interview with PhilStar L!fe, the studio's owner and chief artist Whena Pino said that the salon only uses pigments that come straight from Germany. This means that they stay true to their color for around two years before it becomes translucent.

"This is a feature that is rare in PMU (permanent make up) pigments, as lower quality inks are prone to blowing out over time and fading into gray, and permanently sitting in that unnatural shade," she added.

Apart from using world-class products, PINO takes pride in Whena's expertise in microblading, which she developed from "trainings with leading PMU masters from all over the world."

A microblading treatment costs P30,000 inclusive of one free touch-up to be done after 1-3 months after the initial session, plus an aftercare kit after each session.

To book an appointment, send a message to PINO's Facebook page or mobile number +63906-405-5960. Its clinic is located on the lower ground floor of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong.

TIP: Book as early as you can because according to Whena, the salon only accepts two clients per day so as not to compromise the quality of their service.

Eyebrowdery

Who says microblading is only for females? At Eyebrowdery, it is not only you who can get your brows done but also your hubby or beau.

"We aim for exclusivity and inclusivity. We believe that everyone can be extra beautiful and that beauty is for everyone — regardless of age, race, body shape, and sexual orientation," salon owner Klarisse Tabao said in a chat with PhilSTAR L!fe.

The studio offers three types of eyebrow embroidery services. First on the list is the 3D eyebrow embroidery that gives you a more flawless look. The rate depends on the artist who will work on your eyebrows, with senior artists offering the service for P19,998, master artist for P23,998, and prime master for P28,998.

Eyebrowdery also offers a combination of 3D Embroidery + Powdered Ombre, which, according to Klarisse, "is perfect for clients who have oily skin but still want to have natural-looking brow strands." Price ranges from P22,998 to P30,998, depending on your artist.

Then there's the 3D EyeBRO for "male clients who want more manly and still natural-lookiing stands," Klarisse said. Rates range from P19,998 to P28,998.

Each treatment includes two sessions and "VIP treatment," which allows you to book your preferred salon at your preferred time regardless of how early or late it is.

Eyebrowdery has four branches in the country: SM Megamall, Greenhills, Newport City, and Ayala Malls Feliz. You can book an appointment by visiting www.eyebrowdery.com or calling +63917-899-4121 or +63936-654-3487.

Brow Designery

Same as any cosmestic procedure, microblading has its risks. But you'd be confident that your brows are in good hands with Brow Designery.

In an online chat with PhilStar Life, Brow Designery owner and master artist Shebby Liquette said that the studio only uses "up-to-date techniques, reputable brands and products, and holds to the highest standards and safety" of microblading.

This is in addition to Shebby being the first and only board-certified micropigmentation artist in the Philippines accredited by the American Academy of Pigmentation.

Each treatment costs P19,999 inclusive of one initial session and aftercare kit. Touch-ups, which should be taken 6-8 weeks after the initial session, start at P9,999.

Shebby assures that your brows won't turn gray or any other color over time, as she only uses techniques based on "color theory, Fritzpatrick scale, anatomy of the human skin, and how certain skin types react to pigments," as well as "reputable [pigment] brands like Beauty Angels Pigments, Brow Daddy, and Permablends," among others.

Brow Designery is located in BF Resort, Las Piñas, and is only accepting bookings through its website, www.browdesignerystudio.com. For inquiries, you may email [email protected].

Luster Beauty

Luster Beauty is the place to be if you want to start microblading without having to break the bank. "Our salon offers these kinds of services at a very affordable price but at the same time, we make sure that we give quality services," salon owner Louise de Leon said.

The studio offers two types of brow treatments. One is microblading, which involves the traditional tattooing method of carving small cuts on your skin using a handheld tool, while the other one is a combination of microblading and ombré shading which, on the other hand, uses a machine to give you an effect that's similar to wearing makeup.

Luster Beauty's microblading treatment is priced at P7,000, while the combined microblading + ombré shading costs P8,000. Both include aftercare ointment and a free KeraLift lash perm service.

Touch-ups, according to Louise, are optional and will depend on the client. Rates are as follows:

  • After 4-8 weeks: P1,500
  • After 2-6 months: P3,000
  • After 6-12 months: P4,500
  • After 12-18 months: P5,500

"We use a high-quality pigment from the U.S. It’s very safe since it's vegan and it doesn’t change color over time," Louise added.

Apart from the brow procedures, the salon offers eyelash extensions services for P1,200 to P1,800.

Luster Beauty is located at 94 Katipunan Avenue, White Plains, Quezon City, and is reachable through its official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Plush Beauty

Another microblading studio highly recommended by BOTB members is Plush Beauty, which can provide you with brown enhancement services for a more budget-friendly price.

The salon offers three treatments: One is 6D microblading, which results in strokes that are crisp and fine, the other is ombré shading that has a powdered finish, then the "Combo brown," which, as the names suggests, is a combination of microblading and ombré shading.

Similar to other brow studios, Plush Beauty's semi-permanent makeup tattoos can last for up to two years if you have normal skin and up to  12 months if you have dry or oily skin.

The studio says you also don't have to worry about your brows turning red, gray, blue, or purple, because it uses Perma Blend and Li pigments that are used in the U.S.

Its 6D microblading and ombré shading costs P10,500 each, but with the salon's promo ongoing this April, you can get yours for only P6,500 each. Combo brown, on the other hand, is priced at P12,500, but with the promo, you can avail yourself of it for only P7,500. All treatments come with one free retouch session.
