Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who attracted national attention for being imprisoned for almost a decade after plotting the murder of her mother amid abuse, posted paternity test results to confirm the father of her upcoming baby.

She announced that she will be a mom through a vlog in July, saying the father is her ex-fiancé Ken Urker, with whom she recently rekindled romance after calling off their engagement in 2019. In March this year, she got separated from her estranged husband Ryan Anderson after two years of marriage.

The 32-year-old said on social media it's "finally time" to put theories to rest.

"There’s been a lot of chatter around the paternity of our baby and while we’ve known for sure from the beginning, I feel that it’s finally time to put all these theories to rest. Here are the results showing Ken is the father," she said in an Instagram post on Nov. 6, as she shared a screenshot of the test.

"Ken is going to be an incredible dad and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl into the world," she added.

A Louisiana lawyer told PEOPLE Magazine that Anderson could be listed as the father of Blanchard's baby on the birth certificate.

According to Louisiana law, "If the mother is married to someone other than the biological father when the child was conceived or has been divorced for less than 300 days at the time of birth, the husband/ex-husband shall be the presumed father, unless paternity is established for the biological father."

Blanchard announced her pregnancy on July 9, a few months after saying she filed for divorce from Anderson.

Anderson's name could be on the birth certificate if their divorce wouldn't be finalized by the time of the baby's birth.

The only way Urker's name will appear on the document is if Anderson signs an affidavit that Urker is the father. If Anderson doesn't and if Urker wants his name on the birth certificate, the latter has to file a motion with the courts, which would then make all parties take a DNA test to determine the father, which has now been completed.

Blanchard served seven years of her original 10-year sentence for plotting the murder of her mother, who subjected her to multiple and “painful” medical procedures for made-up illnesses and treated her like a “prisoner.”

In 2015, Gypsy urged her ex, Nicholas Godejohn, to kill her mother, Claudine Blanchard.

Her case became a sensation and has been adapted into multiple television series and documentaries, including HBO’s 2017 documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest, Hulu’s miniseries The Act, and an upcoming docuseries, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Blanchard was released from prison in December after being granted parole in September.
