'Pangarap ko lang to dati': Enchong Dee attends Cannes, shares selfie with Cate Blanchett
Filipino actor Enchong Dee just had a selfie with award-winning Australian actress Cate Blanchett at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
Dee was attending the screening of period drama The New Boy starring Blanchett. He's also representing the country's very own action entry Topakk (Trigger).
"Pangarap ko lang to dati na maka-attend ng Cannes but more so doing a world premiere for Topakk in Marche Du Film," Dee said in his Instagram post May 20. The carousel also contained Dee's solo photo, his ticket, and a clip of Blanchett addressing the audience as she receives a round of applause.
"Grabe ka Lord," he added, along with a sign of the horns emoji.
He also shared his insights about his job, saying an actor's world isn't confined in their home country.
"Malaki ang mundo. Malayo ang lalakbayin. Masarap matuto. Nakaka-excite gumawa ng pelikula na maipapalabas mo sa mga banyaga," Dee said.
"Thank you Lord pina-experience mo to sa akin," he added, as he gave a shout-out to Pinoy director Adolfo Alix Jr. for bringing him to the screening.
"tapos nasa likod lang natin si Cate," Dee said.
His industry colleagues expressed their delight in the comments section.
"Omg Kween Cate!!!!! Huyyy so happy for you Chong!!!" Bianca Gonzales said.
"You deserve it!" Bernadette Sembrano said.
