Tom Holland and Zendaya are gearing up to reprise their roles as Peter Parker and MJ in Spider-Man 4.

On the Rich Roll podcast, Tom shared that he and his girlfriend and co-star Zendaya have already read the draft script for the upcoming film.

"It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job," the Uncharted star said.

"I read it three weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me," he added.

He also talked about his initial reaction to the script.

"Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were like bouncing around the living room like this is a real movie worthy of like [of] the fans' respect," Tom said.

He opened up about how protective he is of his Spider-Man character and how he feels like he owes it to the fans to give the character the best version of the friendly neighborhood hero.

“I owe everything to the fans of Marvel and myself. They've been so kind and generous to me,” he said.

Despite being known as the "king of spoilers" among Marvel actors, Tom kept details about the coming movie sparse.

“I'm really really excited about it,” he said.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2023, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that a fourth Spider-Man film was already in the works.

“All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now,” Kevin said.

In a press conference with the Critics Choice Association back in November 2023, Tom reflected about the uncertainty of his future as Spider-Man for Marvel.

“I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character,” he said at the time.

The couple starred together in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In the last flick, Peter Parker caused the Multiverse to implode after asking Doctor Strange to erase the memory of how his identity as Spider-Man was revealed. It ended with his loved ones MJ and Ned (Jacob Batalon) forgetting about Peter overall.
