LISTEN: Maxene Magalona covers 'Kaleidoscope World' with a dreamy twist
Maxene Magalona has paid tribute to her father and mental health in a heartwarming way.
ICYMI, the actress shared a cover of Francis Magalona's Kaleidoscope World on Mental Health Awareness Day last Oct. 10 to remind us that despite our differences, we all still have to come together.
"I thought of creating this version together with some of my artist friends as a gentle reminder that we are all connected to each other in love, peace, and harmony," Maxene wrote in the video's description.
"I truly believe that God wants all of us to experience this kind of colorful and vibrant energy while we are here on earth. We are not just here to survive. We are here to thrive and feel all the way alive."
The cover features a mellowed-out version of her father's 1995 song, as Maxene brought out her artist friends to give it a jazzy rendition with drums, bass, and a violin melody.
The video also shows Maxene doing her spiritual practices, such as Yoga and burning sage.
"No competition, division and hatred. Just teamwork, unity and love. This is the Kaleidoscope World," she wrote.
