Celebrity couple Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon surprised fans with a wedding announcement that came completely out of the blue.
Last Sunday, June 9, the pair tied the knot at a private resort in Silang, Cavite gathering some of the industry's big bosses and their showbiz friends and colleagues in attendance.
ABS-CBN News reported that some of the principal sponsors in the garden wedding ceremony include ABS-CBN president and chief executive officer Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN chief operating officer for broadcast Cody Vidanes, ABS-CBN board of directors member Charo Santos-Concio, Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, Viva Artists Agency president and chief executive officer Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz, film director Olivia Lamasan, actress Maricel Soriano, actress Vilma Santos-Recto, and politician couple Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado.
Their showbiz friends who were part of the entourage were Sue Ramirez, Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, Loisa Andalio, Elisse Joson, and Alexa Ilacad. Ketchup Eusebio and Ramon Bautista were part of the groomsmen.
On her Instagram Story, Elisse shared a snap of the newlyweds with the caption "Looooove (red heart)" and a diptych of Charlie walking down the aisle and Loisa and Alexa smiling, calling them "Paraiso sisters," referring to the teleserye Pira-Pirasong Paraiso where they starred in.
Alexa shared a video of her, Loisa, and Loisa smiling. Adrian took a video of Carlo and Charlie holding their french bulldog and told them, "Best wishes my sissy [Charlie] and kuya Caloy. Laging nandito para sa inyo!"
Charo shared a photo with Olivia, saying, "A good day to celebrate love. On the way with Inang!" She also shared group photos of some of the Kapamilya attendees.
Earlier in the day, Carlo on Instagram posted what seemed to be a pre-nuptial photo.
"Unti unit natin gagapangin ang buhay ng nakatawa," he wrote in the caption, while Charlie replied with "I love you."
Wedding photographer Mico Gonzales also shared the same photo and other shots.
Photographer Myio Okamoto, meanwhile, shared snippets of the wedding, where Charlie wore a Steph Tan-designed white gown with a halter neckline and a big skirt and Carlo donned a classic black suit and tie.
In January 2023, Carlo said he was in the "getting to know stage" with Charlie after getting spotted in La Union. In July of that year, Charlie confirmed that they're dating.
