Archie Alemania's wife says 'All will be answered in due time' amid Rita Daniela's lasciviousness complaint
Archie Alemania's wife Gee Canlas piqued the curiosity of social media users after she made a cryptic post about "truth" amid the ongoing act of lasciviousness complaint filed by Rita Daniela against her husband.
On her Instagram account, Canlas posted a photo with the quote, "The truth doesn’t need defending; it speaks for itself," in white text on a black background.
"All will be answered in due time," she added in the caption.
While Canlas didn't delve into what she was referring to nor mention Daniela's complaint, a few social media users expressed their support for the couple in the comments section. It should be noted, however, that Canlas has limited the comments on her post.
"I hope you're doing okay," one user said.
Another one appeared to allude the post to the legal issue Alemania is facing, writing, "Sa husgado na lang siguro mag-explain. Sila lang may karapatan mang-judge."
Alemania remains silent in publicly addressing Daniela's case against him.
The actress claimed that her Widows' War co-star harassed her as they were going home from a Thanksgiving party they attended on Sept. 9.
According to her complaint affidavit, Alemania offered Daniela a ride home, which she accepted as she regarded his gesture as something that an older brother would do. But as they were driving, the comedian suddenly reached out and began caressing her shoulder and neck.
Daniela alleged that when they reached the front of her house, Alemania "forcibly got hold of my head and locked it with his grip and gave me a torrid kiss on the lips with his tongue out trying to put it inside my mouth."
After pushing him away and opening the door of the car, Daniela recounted how Alemania pulled her back and hugged her tightly from behind, groped her breast, and "smashed it lasciviously."
The local star recently broke her silence on the issue and said that she's now undergoing counseling and therapy to move forward from what happened.
"I have to be okay. I have no choice because siyempre, there's a person who's depending on me. If bibigay ako, mas kawawa si Uno. Mas kawawa 'yung anak ko," she said in an interview with Nelson Canlas.
"There are days na hindi ko din napipigilan. Bumibigay ako bilang tao," she opened up. "I am trying my best and starting to have counseling and therapy, anything that I can do to really help myself to move forward and be stronger and braver than ever."
PhilSTAR L!fe has reached out to Alemania for a comment on the issue but has yet to receive a response.
