LOOK: Maine Mendoza, Arjo Atayde show their playful side in fun, arcade-themed prenup shoot
Looks like celebrity couple Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde's wedding is just around the corner, and we can’t help but feel the kilig in anticipation, especially with the couple’s prenup photos.
Opting for a nonconventional theme for prenup photos, the actress-host and actor-politician showed their usual selves in a series of candid photos with retro vibes taken in Los Angeles, California.
Captured by Pearl Studios by Jaja Samaniego, the couple donned a pair of denim pants and casual tees completed with Maine’s bomber jacket and Arjo’s parka blazer.
All of the posts were uploaded without any caption, but the two were still able to give fans the kilig, exuding their love and chemistry in every shot.
In the photos, the couple was seen dancing to an arcade game and taking a shot in what appears to be a shooting game.
In the next set of photos, they donned a free-fly suit, gearing for an indoor skydiving experience. The series has the couple’s selfie, Maine helping Arjo secure his helmet, and other candid shots taken during the activity.
Fans, celebrities, and family members including photographer Jaja Samaniego, Miles Ocampo, Shaira Diaz, and more expressed their kilig for the couple.
“Nakaka GV looking at your photos together. Ang saya ma-inlove hayyy. Best wishes, Maine and Arjo!!!!!! Super duper happyyyy,” actress-host Hershey Neri wrote in the comments section.
“Super gandaaaa,” said renowned photographer Shaira Luna.
Photographer Jaja commented: “[P]apunta palang tayo sa exciting part.”
Maine and Arjo are not new to this kind of date. The couple, for one, went viral for their funny contrasting reactions during a rollercoaster ride abroad.
Prior to their wedding—which is believed to happen anytime in July—the couple had the traditional pamamanhikan in June.
Meanwhile, Maine was pampered with love after her co-”legit dabarkads” threw a bridal shower held during the June 22 episode of the E.A.T noontime show.
They prepared various performances for Yaya Dub including a dance number from Paolo, Wally, and "Zombie." They also aired an audio-visual presentation which looks back on Maine’s journey as legit dabarkads.
Three days after, she was surprised with another bridal shower from Arjo’s family.
“Happy to welcome you to our big happy and crazy family. Soon!!! Mrs Maine Mendoza Atayde ka na,” actress Sylvia Sanchez wrote. “Can't wait for the Big Day. Love you, my soon to be Daughter in law.”
Maine and Arjo got engaged in July 2022 after over three years of dating. The latter confirmed in a June interview with entertainment site PUSH that they are set to get married this year.
