Jada Pinkett Smith stresses she did not cheat on Will Smith
Jada Pinkett Smith emphasized that she did not cheat on Will Smith amid infidelity rumors involving rapper August Alsina.
In an appearance on TalkShopLive, the TV personality put an end to the cheating speculations that began after the premiere of a 2020 episode for Red Table Talk, where she and Will talked about her "brief entanglement" with Alsina during their temporary split.
“I just need people to know, okay, I did not cheat on Will Smith. No matter how sad he looked at that table,” Jada said.
She also added that her upcoming memoir Worthy would answer all questions and why it happened in the first place.
Jada and Will have been making headlines the past week ahead of the release of her memoir, where she talked about her significant life events, including their separation in 2016 and the controversial Chris Rock slap, among others.
In an interview with Today on Oct. 11, Jada revealed that she and Will have been living separate lives since 2016. Despite this, she insisted that they have no plans of ending their marriage and that they are working toward reconciling and healing.
When asked about the current state of her heart, Jada said she is "finally happy."
“Different things have transpired over the last two years and Will and I have been doing a lot of healing together. And, you know, have made our way back to this interdependence, this beautiful loving space between us. And we're family. And we're figuring it out," she explained, adding that they are currently in "a really beautiful place together.”
Jada's new memoir is slated for an Oct. 17 release.
