Baifern Pimchanok and Nine Naphat, who starred in the 2019 Thai film Friend Zone, have broken up.

According to Thai media, Nine confirmed their split in a press conference on Thursday, July 4, saying that he wasn’t able to “balance relationships well.”

“We’ve decided to take a step back and remain friends. There’s no animosity between us.”

“We are not angry and we don’t hate each other. We only have good intentions towards each other,” he said, noting that there was no third party involved in their breakup.

Nine opened up about “focusing on healing” at the moment. “I cannot predict the future, but I believe it’s important for both of us to have space to heal.”

He referred to Baifern as someone who is “lovely” and puts the feelings of others first at all times.

“I don’t regret anything that happened. In my heart, she is the best woman,” he added.

This came a week after Nine released a statement on Instagram and asked for some time from his fans to “resolve a problem.”

Social media users speculated that there is a rift between Nine’s mother Pimpaka Siangsomboon and Baifern, which became a factor in their split. Months ago, eagle-eyed users noticed that Pimpaka unfollowed Baifern online.

Pimpaka, however, denied rumors that she had something to do with their breakup and called them “untrue.”

“Stay calm. No need to prove anything to anyone, no need to tell your story anymore. Those untrue rumors, just let it go,” she said.

Nine starred in Nobody’s Happy If I’m Not. Baifern, meanwhile, became famous for her role in Crazy Little Thing Called Love with Mario Maurer.

Aside from Friend Zone, the former couple starred in Sroi Sabunnga: A Tale of Ylang Ylang in 2022. They confirmed their relationship in the same year.
