Celeste Cortesi flaunts her authentic self at the personality interview for Miss Universe
Four days before the coronation night, Philippines' Celeste Cortesi showcased her genuine self in a dashing suit and slicked-back hair during the 71st Miss Universe personality interview.
During the interview, the 25-year-old model was asked about what it means for her to be able to be part of the competition representing the country. Celeste shared that her Miss Universe journey has been amazing so far after preparing for it for a long time, carrying the honor to represent the Philippines alongside her goal to share her story.
“I really wanted to step in this competition wanting to be authentic, wanting to be myself, and share my story to others,” the beauty queen said.
Moreover, in a post-interview, Celeste shared her delight with the result, “It was such a good moment, I believe that this is our chance to really let the judges know us better, so I'm very happy of the result.” she said.
When asked if she could change anything in the personality interview, Celeste chooses to stick to her true, authentic self.
“Honestly, I wouldn't. I really stepped inside the room wanting to show myself and who I am being authentic in front of the judges, so I really hope they appreciated that.” she said.
Concluding the interview, the Filipino-Italian beauty queen expressed her gratitude to supporters on her Miss Universe journey.
“You guys give me so much strength every single day,” the beauty queen said, adding “I love you [all] so much.”
