Angelique Manto, David Guison are now engaged
Wedding bells are ringing for Miss Universe Philippines 2023 second runner-up Angelique Manto and social media personality David Guison.
On Instagram, Guison announced that he popped the question on Dec. 12. The backdrop for this special moment was the enchanting Place des Vosges Park in Paris, France.
"A day to remember," Guison wrote in the caption.
He also revealed via Instagram Stories that he had planned his proposal in August and was intending to pop the question at Place des Vosges Park in Paris during the winter, as it's Manto's favorite season.
"During winter, perfect! Desaturated lahat—gusto ni [Angelique] yan," he wrote.
Guison also shared how he chose an outfit for the romantic day, saying he opted for a jacket because it was the only one that would fit the ring.
"Yung ibang jacket ko halata na may box," he said.

Manto, on the other hand, announced the news with a video clip of her and Guison posing in different outfits. At the end of the video, she also flaunted her emerald-cut engagement ring.
"My fave fit check ever," the beauty queen said.
The former courtside reporter not only recounted her own engagement story but also shared the heartwarming details of how Guison proposed to her. She offered a glimpse into her attire during the proposal, revealing she wore a stylish ensemble consisting of an oversized leather bomber jacket, a dark brown Gucci scarf, and baggy jeans.
The photo has a text that reads: "That's why David commented 'iconic look' [because] this was taken a few minutes before the proposal. And she unknowingly insisted on an OOTD while kabado si Kuya."
Fellow beauty queens, influencers, and other friends from the industry showered their posts with congratulatory messages.
"Congratulations you two! You guys were really made for each other," Nicole Cordoves wrote in the comment section.
"Congratulations guys!! So happy for you two!!" Kylie Verzosa said.
"Halaaa, congrats!" Seven Barretto chided.

In 2021, the couple made their relationship public.
Manto represented Pampanga during the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant, finishing second runner-up. She is also a former courtside reporter for the University of Santo Tomas (UST) during the UAAP Season 78 and 79.
Meanwhile, Guison, a prominent male fashion influencer with a substantial online following (over 460,000 on Instagram and 354,000 on YouTube), has been documenting his ensembles since 2009. He was recognized as one of Asia's Most Stylish in 2022.
