Dennis Padilla sends Christmas greeting to estranged daughter Julia Barretto
It seems that Christmas is a time for peace and harmony for actor and comedian Dennis Padilla, as shown when he sent his estranged daughter Julia Barretto lots of love and well wishes this holiday season amid the rift between them.
Dennis took to Instagram to pen a sweet message for Julia as he posted a throwback picture of him giving his daughter a warm and loving embrace.
"Dear Juy, Merry Christmas! God bless you more. Love you," Dennis wrote.
He also posted Christmas greetings for his other children Claudia and Leon with throwback pictures on social media.
"Dear Claui, Merry Christmas, anak. Praying for more blessings. Love you," he said in an IG post.
"Dear Leon Marcux, Merry Christmas, anak. miss you! God bless," he wrote in another one.
Julia, Claudia, and Leon are Dennis' children with his former wife Marjorie.
Back in June, Dennis aired his ill feelings towards his children for forgetting to greet him on Father's Day, which Leon addressed by revealing that while he and his sisters have been trying to mend their tumultuous relationship, they are hurt whenever Dennis airs his concerns about them online.
The actor later posted a handwritten letter about being a father, where he said, "I have regretfully made mistakes in my life. I may not have been there for you but I always had you in my heart."
Julia, meanwhile, revealed in an interview with journalist Karen Davila in September that she is not ready to speak and open herself to her father again. She went on to say that there's "a lot of fear" inside her, but that she won't deny forgiveness to her father when the time comes.
Following her statements, Dennis called his daughter out in a series of deleted Instagram posts, stressing that there were many flaws in Julia's statements about him.
Dennis separated from Marjorie in 2007. Later on, their three children decided to change their surname from Padilla to Barretto.
