Heart Evangelista breaks silence on falling out with former glam team

Heart Evangelista has commented on her falling out with her former glam team, makeup artist Justin Soriano and hairstylist Jeck Aguilar.

When asked about the issue in an Aug. 14 interview with entertainment journalist Lhar Santiago, the local star seemingly did not want to add fuel to the fire and simply said: "Life is like that."

"Madami tayong pagdadaanan with our careers, with our personal life,” the 38-year-old mused.

"But everything's for a reason, and everything is for us to be stronger so we can face anything else in life. So, I'm very happy," she added.

Heart prefers to deal with such matters by remembering that one “can’t have a perfect life” and keeping her husband Senator Chiz Escudero’s advice in mind.

"My husband would always tell me, ‘With the glory comes the punches,’” the Kapuso star shared. "So, you can't have a perfect life, and nobody's perfect. So everything's made for a reason to make us better people and stronger.”

Rumors about Heart's falling out with her former glam team circulated on social media in July after DJ JhaiHo talked about a “famous celebrity” who kicked out her “stylist and makeup artist” for using her credit card without her permission in his vlog.

Internet users were quick to speculate that he was referring to Heart as she and her glam team have unfollowed each other on Instagram. They also pointed out that Justin and Jeck were no longer part of her engagements, including the recently concluded GMA Gala. Heart's June TikTok post also resurfaced at the time, where she commented about wanting to shop but realizing she still had some credit card payments to make.

In the comment section of one of his Instagram posts, Justin denied that their falling out had something to do with money matters and noted that Heart's viral TikTok video was "misinterpreted."

“Dear, siya lang ang nagma-maxout ng credit card nya. Wala kami paki sa credit card nya,” he told an IG user.

“Namisinterpret nyo [‘yung] TikTok nya na may 24 [months] siyang babayaran. Siya may gastos nun. Hello? Kita niyo naman siguro sa sinusuot niya every day, diba?” he added.

“The falling-out has nothing to do with money matters. Please, let’s stop making issues,” Justin said. “We are over it already. Patahimikin na po natin ito.”

Heart started working with Justin and Jeck in 2019. The three used to travel the world and attend various events together—from branded affairs to intimate parties—as seen in their social media posts.
