Kris Aquino’s son Bimby gives health update on mom: She’s ‘stable’ and ‘now 103 pounds’
Kris Aquino’s son Bimby gave a health update on the Queen of All Media, saying that she’s “stable” and is starting to gain back the weight she lost as she continues to battle several autoimmune diseases.
As seen in a recent YouTube vlog, talent manager Ogie Diaz spent some time with the multimedia personality’s son, who has been with Kris since she flew to the United States in June 2022 for some medical tests and procedures. “’Yun yung choice ko talaga. Wherever mom is, I’ll be there,” Bimby told Ogie.
“I told nga mama, ‘My wife will be the love of my world.’ Si mama, love of my universe naman,” he added.
Bimby went on to share that his mother is doing fine at the moment. “Okay naman. You know, stable, that's a good word for it. Of course, still beautiful. Forever beautiful.”
He added that Kris is starting to gain back the weight she lost since she was diagnosed with autoimmune conditions in 2018. “She is now 103 [pounds], yeah 103, stable.” This is a significant improvement from her weight in early 2022, when the TV host opened up about weighing 88 pounds and getting “all the treatments and procedures to help address my drastic weight loss and, if still possible, strengthen my immunity.”
In the said vlog, Bimby stressed she’s always been beautiful no matter her weight. “For me, kahit 80 pounds si mama, she will still be the most beautiful mom ever, para sa akin."
Bimby has been taking care of his mom along with the latter’s doctors and nurses, saying it’s his “duty as her son.”
“We still have two nurses kasi I sleep with her eh, so I'm like, ako ‘yung night duty, basically," he said with a laugh.
Bimby concluded his chat with Ogie by thanking his mom’s supporters who have been praying for the latter’s recovery. “Maraming salamat po and thank you talaga for praying for mama’s good health. I promise, as her son, to do everything I can to take care of her and to make her better.”
In February this year, Kris revealed that her medical results showed a “scary red flag” that’s not related to her autoimmune diseases without going into much detail.
Earlier that month, she shared she has found a new doctor that she described as the “best,” giving her “renewed confidence” in getting better.
Kris openly talked about her “four diagnosed autoimmune ailments (two are life-threatening) and a highly likely fifth” due to her “distinct physical manifestations” in December 2022.
She previously shared that she’s signed up in a hospital’s center for people who have rare and undiagnosed illnesses as she continues to undergo important tests and procedures for her health.
