Sunshine Cruz, Cesar Montano reunite for daughter's graduation

Exes Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano got together to support their daughter Franchesca during her graduation ceremony.

On her Instagram account, Sunshine shared a glimpse of her daughter's big day as she graduated from high school at the De La Salle Santiago Zobel School in Muntinlupa City.

Franchesca looked prim and proper in her toga as she posed for pictures with her separated parents, who looked proud as ever for their youngest child.

"Congratulations to our Franchesca. We are so proud of you anak," Sunshine captioned her post and used the hashtag #proudparents.

The former couple's two other daughters, Angelina and Sam, were also present to cheer for their younger sibling.

Cesar's current partner, Socorro Angeles, also joined the special moment, and the six of them gathered together for one sweet family picture.

In the comments section, many social media users sent their well wishes to Franchesca for her educational achievement while also applauding Sunshine and Cesar for supporting their daughter together despite their failed relationship.

"This is the way it should be. Even if the mom and dad are already divorced, they should still be friends and get along as co-parents to their children. It has a great impact on the well-being of the kids. Congrats Sunshine and Cesar for making it through, and raising successful children!" one user commented.

Another wrote, "Ang ganda ng family nila kasi wala silang galit sa mga puso nila kahit hiwalay mga magulang nila pero maganda pa rin ang bonding nila."

There were also other instances when the two exes reunited for their daughters. Sunshine and Cesar got together in August 2022 during Sam's 18th birthday and in September 2023 when they celebrated Angelina's 21st birthday.

The pair tied the knot in September 2000. Their marriage was annulled in September 2018 after a legal battle that lasted for about four years.
