Try Guys release explanation video on ex-member Ned Fulmer's cheating scandal: 'It's weird. We're sorry this ever happened'
The Try Guys have released an official statement video on the departure of Ned Fulmer after he admitted to cheating on his wife of 10 years.
In the video titled 'what happened.', the remaining Try Guys Eugene Lee Yang, Zach Kornfeld, and Keith Habersberger explained the circumstances surrounding their former colleague and what will happen to the channel moving forward.
They said that they first took notice of "public romantic behavior" between Ned and a coworker over Labor Day weekend, or around Sept. 5 in the U.S., a few weeks before the scandal exploded on social media.
They confronted Ned with the news, which he confirmed privately to the three. From there, they began talks with lawyers, human resources, PR, and other experts "in order to make sure we were taking all necessary steps."
"From the jump, we were acutely aware of just how contrary this was to the values of the company we've built and those of everyone who works here," Lee Yang said. "This is something we took very seriously. We refused to sweep things under the rug."
They added that they removed Ned and his image from all public activities such as scrubbing him off of thumbnails, editing him from videos, and removing his photos from their merch line.
When the cheating allegations broke out, they decided to make the announcement "in light of rapidly accelerating speculation."

"I don't know that we'll ever be able to fully articulate the pain that we feel in this moment, it's hard to rewatch to old videos we love and are proud of," said Zach. "We're losing a friend, we're losing someone we built a company with... I'm sure many of you feel the same way."
"It's weird. We're sorry this ever happened, we don't know what more to say."
They also called the internet to exercise kindness, in light of being kind to women.
They added that they will be bringing out more video content from now to the end of the year "and figuring out what the future of this channel looks like from there."
In late September, Fulmer shocked fans when he admitted to having a "consensual workplace relationship." In a social media post, he shared that he is now putting his attention on his family—“the only thing that matters”—and that he "lost focus."
The Try Guys released a statement shortly after confirming that Ned will no longer be with the company.
