Hyun Bin in talks to join Jung Woo Sung in upcoming drama

K-drama fans might soon see Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung team up for an action drama. 

According to a report by Soompi, production company Hive Media Corp confirmed that Jung Woo Sung is set to star in an upcoming drama dubbed Made in Korea. 

More outlets reported that Hyun Bin will be joining the cast, but his agency clarified that there is no final decision yet. 

“[Hyun Bin] received an offer to star in Made in Korea and is positively reviewing the offer. No final decision has been made yet,” the management said. 

The upcoming drama will follow major events set in “the turbulent era of Korea in the 1970s.” 

 Woo Sung will play a prosecutor named Jang Geong Young who has “animal-like instincts and tenacity.” 

It will be directed by Woo Min Ho, who also helmed crime action and thriller films The Drug King, Inside Men, and The Man Standing Next. It's set to start filming this summer.  

Jung Woo Sung is known for his roles dramas including Cob Web, The Day, Scarlet Innocence, and Cold Eyes, among others. 

Hyun Bin, meanwhile, is famous for his roles in Crash Landing On You, Secret Garden, The Negotiation, and more. He recently starred in Woo Min Ho’s action film Harbin, which is set to be released this year.
