Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos share that they have been talking about getting married “a lot,” saying that it has been their same end goal since the start of their romance.

The celebrity couple opened up more about their relationship during their guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Wednesday, March 13, where the “King of Talk” asked them whether they have been discussing marriage, especially since they have been together for seven years.

“It’s something that we actually talk about a lot,” Khalil began, to which Gabbi said, “Same naman talaga kami ng end goal even at the start of this relationship.”

“Why waste time on someone you don’t wanna end up with, right?” Gabbi added.

“From the get-go I feel like we were aligned that we want to keep this relationship special for the future,” she continued, quipping that she has planned her wedding dress already, and that she wants an “intimate, quiet” ceremony for their special day

“I’m not afraid to talk about it kasi that’s part of life, and it’s such a beautiful thing,” the Unbreak My Heart star stressed.

The couple furthered that marriage only becomes a “problem” when they give in to the pressure by people around them, or by the expectations they see on social media.

“But if it’s something that you discuss for the future, and it strengthens your relationship, it makes it healthier, why not, ‘di ba?” Gabbi added.

For his part, Khalil admitted that while he gets pressured about getting married, he was able to handle it well by acknowledging it, but not giving in.

"I'm approaching my 30s na, we both see ourselves starting a family eventually," he said. “It's about being aware that there is that pressure and how you manage that really,” he added.

The two were also asked by Boy about their thoughts about the “seven-year itch,” which has been the cause of the split of couples after marking their seventh year.

They said that they actually anticipated it in their third year, but didn’t come, saying that “they were just happy.”

“We were waiting for it, ‘Nasa’n ‘yung itch?’ Wala naman,” Gabbi said.

“And ngayong seven years, we’re not afraid nor anticipating it would happen. Wala, we just live our lives normally and ang laki kasi ng tiwala namin sa isa’t-isa. And whenever people would tell us na, ‘Uy, ‘wag kayong magbre-break ha?’ Parang kami, ‘We’re fine!’” the actress said.

Celebrity breakups have been frequent especially in the last year. For Gabbi and Khalil, their seven-year romance is a “journey of being more understanding towards your partner.”

“You just really have to accept that there are things you might not agree on together; there are things that you might find it difficult, ‘di ba? Pero it’s a choice, everyday is choice,” Gabbi added.

“I feel like that it’s such an important aspect of a relationship—we excite each other all the time with our travels, with our food trips, [and] conversations,” she continued. “I will never get bored of Khalil.”

Gabbi and Khalil first met in Julia Barretto’s debut in 2015 and officially started their romance two years later. The two have worked together on the romantic 2019 film LSS (Last Song Syndrome) with Ben&Ben in GMA 7’s series Love You Stranger.
