Sandara Park expressed disappointment following the cancellation of her concert in Cebu which was scheduled to take place on Sept. 23.

The show, titled "AWAKE: A New Beginning" features the former 2NE1 member and K-pop groups AB6IX, Viviz, Younite, 1MILLION, and MB Crew. It was bound to happen at the City di Mare events grounds in Cebu City.

Sandara, for her part, took to Twitter to send her apologies to her fans for the event's cancellation and to let them know that she is one with them.

“I’m so sad and sorry for my fans coz of the Cebu concert. I’m also very very sad and disappointed with what happened. I was preparing a lot for the show,” Sandara posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Sept. 17.

The Star Circle Quest alumna went on to comfort her fandom, called Daralings, and that of 2NE1, known as Blackjacks, by saying that there is definitely more to come for them.

"But there is always next time so pls 🙏 I hope you guys are ok and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks. #staystrongdara #staystrongdaralings," Sandara added.

AWAKE's organizer, MARK Entertainment and Events, announced the show's cancellation on social media on Sept. 15, eight days prior to the event's launch.

On that day, the organization posted a graphic card with the text, "In light of unforeseen circumstances and unpredictable weather conditions, we have made the decision to postpone the concert."

In the caption of the post, MARK Entertainment said that "further information regarding the rescheduled dates and any additional information will be announced soon."

It added that fans who purchased their tickets can have them refunded through https://bit.ly/AWAKErefund.

"We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this may cause," it concluded the post.

Apart from AWAKE's postponement, Sandara also revealed that she's upset about the cancellation of two of her upcoming activities. One of these was supposed to take place in another country by the end of the month, and the other was her participation in the Paris Fashion Week 2023.

"And I’m not going to PFW this year. I was supposed to be in other country for work end of this month but unforfunately, it just got canceled too... So it's already too late to prepare for Paris," the K-pop idol wrote in a tweet.

Sandara is best known for being a member of the K-pop group 2NE1, which was famous for the hit songs I Don't Care, Fire, and I Hate You, among others. In the Philippines, Sandara rose to fame as the "Pambansang krung-krung" when she joined ABS-CBN's talent show Star Circle Quest in 2004.
