Queenie Padilla has announced that she and her Pakistani husband Usama Mir have called it quits after being married for more than a decade.

Queenie, who is Sen. Robin Padilla's daughter and Kylie Padilla's sister, delved into details of their separation in a statement on her Instagram account.

"After much thought and consideration, I have decided to separate from my husband, due to irreconcilable incompatibility," she began.

"This decision wasn't taken overnight, it has been years and months of trying to work things out," she added.

Despite the end of their 11-year marriage, Queenie underscored that she will "always have love, honor, and respect" for the father of her child and praised Usama for being a "great father and responsible human being."

"Although life has taken us on different paths right now, I will forever cherish the 11 years we've had together," Queenie highlighted.

She ended her statement by expressing her gratitude to her followers for their support over the years and requested to have their privacy respected "during this difficult time."

In a separate post on Instagram, Queenie announced that she will also be taking a break from social media starting May 15. She did not go into details on how long she was going to go offline.

Queenie and Usama tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed their daughter in 2017. Prior to embracing married life, Queenie had a brief career in the showbiz industry, appearing in the television series Totoy Bato with her father and in the 2011 movie Tum, My Pledge of Love.

Afterward, she stepped away from the spotlight to focus on her religion.
