Sharon Cuneta, Kiko Pangilinan file cyberlibel cases against Cristy Fermin
Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan have filed cyberlibel charges against showbiz insider Cristy Fermin for "malicious statements" that she made against their family.
GMA News' Nelson Canlas reported on Friday, May 10 that the couple filed the cyberlibel complaints at the Makati City Prosecutors Office. Fermin is being sued for "broadcasting baseless and malicious statements regarding their personal and family affairs."
While it's unclear what issue the case stemmed from, the filing came after Fermin recently talked about how Cuneta and her daughter KC Concepcion's on-and-off relationship was due to the latter misplacing a valuable possession by the Megastar.
The talk show host also pointed out how Cuneta and Pangilinan did not post any greetings for KC during her birthday on April 7.
A week ago, Bea Alonzo also took legal action for cyberlibel against Fermin and fellow showbiz insider Ogie Diaz. The complaint stated that the actress became a victim of "false, malicious, and damaging information."
In response, Fermin reminded Alonzo that she is a public figure and she should expect that her personal life would be talked about.
Bawat galaw niyo, bawat ikot niyo, marami pong nakatanaw, wala kayong maaaring ligtasan. Kaya public figures kayo, 'wag masyadong balat-sibuyas," she said.
