Joe Alwyn ‘distraught’ over Taylor Swift’s romance with Matty Healy—report
Joe Alwyn is reportedly feeling “slighted and distraught” over the rumored romance between Taylor Swift and The 1975’s Matty Healy.
According to a report by ELLE, an insider close to Joe told Daily Mail that he’s feeling hurt and upset about how Taylor moved on from their breakup so fast. “Joe feels slighted and is distraught after seeing her budding relationship with Matt, but is doing his best to keep busy and focus on himself,” they said.
“Joe was aware that Taylor and Matt were making music together and collaborating. She told him that they had become friends and he trusted her,” they added, noting that there was no “overlap” between the singer’s relationships with Joe and Matty.
News of Taylor’s breakup with Joe made the rounds on social media on April 8, with some sources noting they called it quits in March after six years of being together. Multiple media outlets, meanwhile, reported about the hit singer’s romance with The 1975 frontman on May 3.
Matty ended his three-year relationship with singer-songwriter FKA Twigs in June. He was previously linked to model Charlotte Briar d’Alessio.
