MOMOLAND announces disbandment: 'Our Merries have been everything to us and always will be'
MOMOLAND has officially announced their disbandment after seven years as a group.
In a statement shared by Nancy on Tuesday, Feb. 14, the K-pop group said they have come to the decision to part ways “after a long, deep discussion.”
“Even though we have decided to take our own paths towards our dreams, us, MOMOLAND, will always be a team,” they said.
The group expressed their gratitude to their fans—dubbed “Merries”—for their love and support throughout their journey as a team. “Our Merries have been everything to us and always will be,” they said.
“We are deeply sorry that we couldn’t let you guys know sooner, but sincerely thank each and everyone that have patiently waited for us,” MOMOLAND added.
“Moving forward, please continue to support and love MOMOLAND and each and every member’s path,” they concluded.
In January, the group announced they will no longer renew their contract with their agency, MLD Entertainment, following its expiration.
MOMOLAND—consisting of Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy—is best known for their hit songs Bboom Bboom, Baam, Banana Chacha, I’m So Hot, and Thumbs Up, among others.
