Heart Evangelista shares favorite book: 'Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table'

The local star, in her Instagram stories on Good Friday, March 29, posted about Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table, written by bestselling author and pastor Louie Giglio.

"Still my favorite book," she wrote. "For those who don't know, it's actually for Christians."

She went on to share some of her favorite quotes from the book, including, "Don't give the enemy a seat. Don't entertain his ideas. These thoughts are not from a good and trustworthy shepherd. Move on."

"Intimacy with God is the way to true fulfillment. How do you keep the enemy from sitting at your table? You keep your eyes on Christ," she quoted the writer.

"One of the best Christian books out there," she wrote, adding a white heart emoji.

Heart first posted about the book on her IG feed in January this year with the caption: "Not today." She also shared the same aforementioned quote in the comments section of her photo.

Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table offers tips on "how to break free from the chains of negative thinking and experience true freedom from unhealthy thoughts and emotions," as stated on the author's official website.

In the book, the American pastor puts forward some biblical insight on having peace in one's life, knowing one's true purpose, among others with Psalm 23 as a framework. He reminds readers that these could happen if one "allows Jesus, the Shepherd, to lead the battle for one's mind and heart."
