Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde just celebrated their wedding anniversary on July 28, and they marked the occasion with a video containing their big day's highlights.
"been a year," Maine and Arjo wrote in the caption of their collaborative Instagram post, along with a white heart emoji.
The video showed scenes of their wedding at the Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel, including their preparations, interactions with their entourage, and their showbiz friends shedding tears.
One of the biggest moments was when the teary-eyed Arjo pens his wedding vow, as his voice-over can be heard.
"It was like a scene in a movie, but it was so real to me," he said, as the video shifts to their exchange of vows.
"Someone I always had a crush on, I wanted to meet, work with," he went on. All odds were against us, apparently, until the right time came."
"Without forcing it, I know it was you. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for being my bestest friend. Thank you for making us feel normal. Thank you for taking care of me. Thank you for you," Arjo said.
Maine, meanwhile, began her vow by describing Arjo as an "answered prayer."
"I really prayed for you," she said. "Sabi ko, sana ibless ako ni Lord ng taong magmamahal sa akin nang tunay at buo. I just know that deep down, one day, God will lead to me to someone who will give me the amount of love so much more than I am capable to give."
"And He did. He led me to you, Arjo cutie," Maine said, pertaining to his iconic July 28, 2013 tweet where she "manifested" him, whom she'll meet exactly five years later after that tweet.
The video also showed Maine and Arjo opening their gifts to each other.
Maine received an Hermès Mini Kelly handbag, which reportedly cost between P6.5 million to P7.4 million.
"I'm excited to enter this new chapter of our lives together, can't wait to see you. I love you so much. Love, Papa Bagman," the actor wrote.
Arjo, meanwhile, got a Toyota Land Cruiser, dubbed the "rarest SUV of them all" and costs P5.7 million.
In another post, Maine and Arjo shared photos of their wedding day with the caption, "Happy anniversary" followed by a white heart emoji.
Maine and Arjo sparked dating rumors in October 2018, or three months after their first meeting. They confirmed their relationship in March 2019.
Maine got engaged to Arjo in July 2022 after over three years together.
