LOOK: Celebrities turn heads at the 2024 Manila International Film Festival
Filipino celebrities brought their star power to Los Angeles for the inaugural ceremony of Manila International Film Festival (MIFF).
Held on Saturday, Feb. 3 (Philippine time) at the TCL Chinese Theatres in the United States, Pinoy actors took the spotlight as they showcased their films in the Hollywood scene. Apart from celebrating their excellence in their craft, they made sure to show up at the affair in stunning ensembles.
Here are the familiar faces at the first-ever MIFF.
John Arcilla
Penduko actor John Arcilla stood out in his plum-printed blazer from J.E. & Company, which he paired with classic black trousers and sleek shoes from Sapatero Manila.
Janella Salvador
Janella Salvador looked subtly sexy in a black dress with a deep V neck and mesh train for an elevated look.
Dingdong Dantes
Rewind star Dingdong Dantes kept it simple and sharp with his classic black and white tuxedo. His film, which he co-starred with his wife Marian Rivera, recently became the first Filipino film to cross the P900 million mark at the box office. He was also hailed as one of the best actors at this year's MIFF.
Piolo Pascual
Also named as the best actor for his performance in the horror film Mallari, Piolo Pascual donned a red and black checked blazer with a turtleneck top.
Ysabel Ortega
Kapuso actress Ysabel Ortega looked regal in an all-black ensemble featuring a ribbon-shaped velvet top and a balloon skirt. Her film Firefly won big at the event, bagging Best Picture among other recognitions.
Alden Richards
Alden Richards from the Family of Two film also looked dapper in a neutral suit.
Cedrick Juan and Enchong Dee
Cedrick Juan, who portrayed Jose Burgos in GomBurZa, donned a tan suit with a black inner top. His co-star Enchong Dee, who played Jacinto Zamora, stood out in his royal blue and black ensemble. Their film bagged 2nd Best Picture at the recently concluded MIFF.
