‘So happy and terrified’: Jessie J announces pregnancy over a year after miscarriage
Jessie J is having a rainbow baby!
The international singer shared she’s “happy and terrified” at the same time as she announced her pregnancy—13 months after suffering a sad miscarriage.
In a recent Instagram post, she shared the news via a heartwarming video with her song Sunflower playing in the background. It shows a positive pregnancy test as well as clips of her ultrasound and snaps of her growing baby bump.
“I am so happy and terrified to finally share this. Please be gentle with me,” she captioned her post.
“Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked,” she added.
According to entertainment website Page Six, this comes over a year after the singer suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in November 2021. At the time, she opened up on social media that after a third checkup at the hospital, doctors told her there was “no longer a heartbeat.”
She also briefly opened up about her journey to being a mom then. “I decided to have a baby on my own because it’s all I’ve ever wanted and life is short. To get pregnant was a miracle in itself and an experience I will never forget and I know I will have again.”
