LIST: Dates and venues of upcoming int'l beauty pageants in 2022
The international pageant season has begun, and pageant aficionados, you better prepare to scream your hearts out for the nation's bet until 2023.
It is during the last quarter of the year that beauty pageants are taken to the global stage and people all over the world gather and raise their flags up high as their country's candidate showcase her beauty—both inside and out—for all the world to see.
Like every year, the season officially starts with Miss Intercontinental in October and concludes with Miss Universe in January.
This year's Miss Intercontinental has just concluded earlier today, Oct. 16, with Vietnam's Le Nguyen Bao Ngoo taking home the coveted title. She was crowned by Miss Intercontinental 2021 and Philippine's very own Cinderella Faye Obenita at the pageant's coronation night held at the Meraki Resort in Egypt.
The Philippines was represented by Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022 Gabriel Basiano, who concluded her journey in the Top 20. She competed against 80 other contenders during the 50th-anniversary edition of the pageant.
Fans of beauty pageants have much more to look forward to in the coming months, as Miss Intercontinental 2022 is just the beginning of this year's global competitions.

Miss Globe 2022
October 15, Tirana, Albania
After watching Miss Intercontinental, prepare your loudest cheers and support our queen, as Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022 Chelsea Fernandez will also be vying for a back-to-back win for the country.
The beauty queen is out to follow the footsteps of Miss Globe 2021 and Filipino Maureen Montagne, who will be crowning her successor at the pageant's coronation night to be held on Oct. 15 (Oct. 16 in the Philippines) at the Opera & Ballet Theater in Skanderbeg Square in Tirana, Albania.

Miss Grand International 2022
Oct. 25, Jakarta, Indonesia
The "grandest" things are about to happen in Jakarta, Indonesia! The Miss Grand International 2022 finals is scheduled to take place on Oct. 25 at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC). Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Angela Tamondong is vying for the country's first golden crown against over 70 candidates.
The delegates are currently competing in various online challenges where fans can vote for their bets on the Miss Grand International Facebook page. Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyēn Thúo Thùy Tiên will be crowning her successor during the grand coronation night, while be streamed live on the GrandTV YouTube page.
Miss Earth 2022
Nov. 29, Parañaque, Philippines
Miss Philippines Earth 2022 Jenny Ramp is poised to return the throne to our nation during the pageant's grand coronation night to be held on Nov. 29 at the Cove Manila in Parañaque City.
During the launch of the skincare brand Gluthanex this week, Ramp revealed that she has been working hard to represent the country superbly. “Dito po kasi sa Philippines ang venue ng Miss Earth, tayo ang host country so kailangan double effort tayo and kasama na dyan ang preps natin sa lahat ng aspects ng pageant,” she said.
This year's pageant, which has the theme "ME Loves Fauna," will cap off with the coronation night where Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner will crown her successor. The beauty queen was crowned virtually in November last year amid the height of the pandemic.
Miss International 2022
December 13, Tokyo, Japan
Miss International is returning after a nearly three-year hiatus. On Dec. 13, at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold will compete for the nation's seventh Miss International crown.
Hannah has appeared on every Pageantry Hotpicks, giving the nation hope that she will succeed Sireethorn Leearamwat in this returning edition.
Miss World 2022

Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyn Fourniol is already hard at work, getting ready to win the nation's second blue crown after Miss World Megan Young successfully captured the Philippines' first-ever Miss World title back in 2013.
While the exact date and location of the said pageant are yet to be revealed by the Miss World Organization, word has it that it might take place in April 2023, when current queen Karolina Bielawska of Poland will also end her reign.
Miss Universe 2022
Jan. 14, 2023, New Orleans, USA
Miss Universe Organization has confirmed last September that the pageant's much-anticipated coronation night will take place on January 14, 2023, in New Orleans, USA. Miss Universe Philippine 2022 Celeste Cortesi is vying for the crown along with other Filipino-blooded candidates Miss USA 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel.
The winning candidate will be crowned by Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu during the finale of Miss Universe Organization's 71st competition.
