Gypsy Rose Blanchard to get cosmetic surgery as part of her 'transformation journey'
Gypsy Rose Blanchard reveals she’s getting cosmetic surgery as part of her “personal transformation journey” three months after being released from prison.
The 32-year-old personality told PEOPLE Magazine that she is set to undergo a rhinoplasty to change the shape of her nose.
"I’m going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too," she said in a statement.
Her close friend, Nadiya Vizier shared with the media outlet that while Gypsy is nervous, she’s happy to finally get it especially since she has been wanting to have it done for a while now.
"The main thing is that she wanted a more feminine-looking nose. She just wants to fix it up and give it a more feminine look,” she shared.
Gypsy added that the procedure will be featured in her upcoming docuseries Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, which is set to premiere on June 3.
This comes a week after she announced her separation from Ryan Anderson, her husband for two years.
"People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou," she previously wrote in her private Facebook post, as reported by PEOPLE Magazine.
“I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to let myself find who I am," she added.
Days after announcing their split, she got reunited with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker and got matching tattoos. The latter’s mom later clarified that the two did not reconcile their romance.
"They are not back together," Ken's mom, Raina Williams told the outlet. "They're very cool. Ken is just being a supportive friend to her and that's it."
Gypsy was released from prison last Dec. 28. She served seven years of her original 10-year sentence for plotting the murder of her mother, who subjected Blanchard to multiple and “painful” medical procedures for made-up illnesses and treating her like a “prisoner.”
In 2015, Gypsy urged her ex, Nicholas Godejohn, to kill her mother, Claudine Blanchard.
The extraordinary case became a sensation and has been adapted into multiple television series and documentaries, including HBO’s 2017 documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest and Hulu’s miniseries The Act.
