Is Bimby Aquino Yap joining showbiz?
On Tuesday, June 27, multimedia entertainment agency Cornerstone Entertainment posted a photo of what appears a contract signing, with Kris Aquino and James Yap's son, Bimby, posing with the agency’s president Erickson Raymundo, vice president Jeffrey Vadillo, and senior artist handler Cristine Calawod.
“The Cornerstone fam with Bimb,” they wrote in the caption. “Exciting days are truly ahead for the young star!"
Also included in the photo is host Boy Abunda who served as his guardian while his mom, Kris Aquino is abroad for medical treatment.
Earlier this month, Bimby returned to the Philippines after staying in the US to focus on his studies.
“He’s had to grow up so fast because he needed to learn to be responsible in helping taking care of me,” his mom, Kris Aquino wrote in her Instagram post.
“As his mama I felt for a few months he deserves to enjoy being 16,” the “Queen of all Media” added.
His dad, basketball player, and San Juan city councilor James Yap shared in an interview their “renewed relationship” as father and son.
“I’m super happy to hear from Bimb after eight years. I’ve been praying for this day to come. Na-miss ko sobra si Bimb,” he was quoted as saying.
“He said that he is looking forward to seeing his brother MJ again and meet his sister Francine soon. He wished me luck in my new career as a public servant,” he added.
Bimby had earlier taken part in various comedy films, starring in a 2013 comedy film My Little Bossings with Ryzza Mae Dizon, his mom Kris Aquino, and Vic Sotto.
The following year, he joined the cast of Vice Ganda’s hit comedy film, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin and All You Need Is Pag-ibig in 2015.
