Kris Aquino gets emotional as son Bimby returns to the Philippines: 'He deserves to enjoy being 16'
Kris Aquino couldn't help but shed some tears as she bid farewell to her youngest son James Carlos, or Bimby, before he left to return to the Philippines a year after they stayed in the US.
On her Instagram account, Kris posted an emotional video of herself hugging her son tightly as he left for his flight at the Los Angeles International Airport. In the caption, she shared that she and Bimby decided to part ways for a while as he deserves to be happy.
"Nakikita ko yung stress and anxiety my bunso was feeling. He’s had to grow up so fast because he needed to learn to be responsible in helping taking care of me. Kawawa kasi nakikita niya the many new physical manifestations because from three when we came to the US a year ago, naging five na yung diagnosed autoimmune conditions ko," Kris explained.
The actress went on to say that Bimby had been longing to spend time with the rest of their nearest and dearest, which is why she realized, "As his mama, I felt for a few months he deserves to enjoy being 16."
"I knew after a year, Bimb was longing to be with his various titas (my sisters, cousins, and friends); titos (my brothers in law, cousins in law and the husbands of my friends); his many cousins and the kids of my friends," Kris wrote.
"I love you with my whole heart, Kuya [Josh] and Bimb. Mama promised she’ll go through all treatments so I’ll be around, God willing, while you both still need me," she ended.
Many took the time to send well wishes to the mother and son.
Accomplished physician Geraldine Zamora wrote, "Naiyak ako. Looking forward to your eventual reunion. It’s hard to be away from one’s children. But they have to grow and spread their wings."
"A mother's love will defy anything to be around for her kids. Respect to you Miss Kris Aquino for raising your boys with genuine love and respect for each other as siblings," another user commented.
As for her health update, Kris shared that she only has until the end of June until she needs to lessen her activities in high-density places, because her immunity will be too weak to fight any infection by that time.
The multimedia star has been seeking medical treatment in the United States since June 2022. She is currently suffering from five autoimmune diseases, with a possibility of getting another one.
