‘Queen of Tears’ to air two special episodes this May

Queen of Tears is nearing its finale, but the showrunners are already teasing something special for fans to enjoy after the final episode.

As the show comes to an end on April 28, tvN has a stirring announcement posted on their social platforms, saying that they will be airing a two-part special episode on May 4 and 5.  

Not many details have been released but the special episodes will feature the main cast: Kim Ji Won, Kim Soo Hyun, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Lee Joo Bin.  

The network also asked fans their comments, questions, and insights regarding the show. 

Queen on Tears revolves around the ups and downs of married couple Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji Won) and Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) and how their love was beautifully rekindled.    

Park Ji-eun, best known for Crash Landing on You, wrote the script for the series and Kim Hee-won and Jang Young-woo directed it.

Since the series premier last March 9, it has been receiving positive feedback from viewers and accumulating high ratings, particularly the series’ 10th episode which garnered a 19.0% viewer rating.

The drama gained popularity in the international scene and got fans and viewers anticipating every upcoming episode. The success of the series extended to being hailed as the third highest-rated show in tvN's history, surpassing Reply 1988.
