SB19 makes an appearance on Los Angeles morning show, performs hit song 'Gento'
P-pop band SB19 continues to make waves all over the world as they just made an appearance on the Los Angeles morning show KTLA 5 Morning News.
Introduced as the "unstoppable group from the Philippines, who have shattered records, gained fans all over the globe," the group's five members had a chance to talk about their successful City National Grove of Anaheim concert, as well as their Pagtatag extended play and world tour.
"It was full-house, so we’re really, really amazed and overwhelmed with all the support that we received last time, and we definitely would like to come back here in LA," Pablo said during the episode.
Asked about what the word "Pagtatag" means, Pablo explained that the word means "strengthening" and that it reflects their experiences all throughout their career.
"It’s like the journey of SB19, on how we grew as an artist and how we managed to overcome all the obstacles that we’ve been through. And here we are right now. This is who we are, we’re SB19—we’re stronger and we’re bolder," Pablo said.
The Filipino boy band—composed of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh—then treated viewers with an energetic performance of their hit song Gento.
They later posted a picture of themselves from their guesting on social media, with the caption, "What a great way to start our day! Thank you so much for having us KTLA 5 Morning News!"
SB19's ongoing Pagtatag world tour commenced with four shows in the Philippines beginning June 24 and is set to conclude on Aug. 20, in Edmonton, Alberta. The tour had stops across major cities in the US and Canada, with upcoming shows in New York, Washington, and DC.
The group debuted in 2018 with their first single Tilaluha and has since become a renowned P-pop sensation, becoming the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist. It marked the first-ever appearance of a Filipino artist in the award show.
